Recently, the research team of the National University of Singapore (NUS) has developed a new type of chip "EQSCALE" that can capture visual details from video frames with extremely low power consumption. This video feature extractor has 20 times lower power consumption than the best existing chip, so the battery power consumption is also reduced by 20 times, and the size of the intelligent vision system can be reduced to the millimeter range. For example, it can continuously use millimeter-level solar cells for power, without the need to replace the battery.
